Who We Are

Thathe-found in Africa in South Africa up north in the province of Limpopo, houses a clan named Makwinda, commonly referred to as “Makwinda a Thathe”. According to Oral history, Makwinda are believed to be descendants of the Yemen people, who left Yemen to settle down finally in Tshidzivhe. When they settled down in Tshidzivhe, they found a rainforest which they named Thathe.

The Thathe rainforest is where the sources of the Nzhelele, Tshirovha, Mutale and Tshinane rivers are found. A prolific leader emerged from this clan in the name of Nethathe. Nethathe was a magician, diviner, healer and herbalist. His kraal was at Tshitangani. In this region, the Netshitangani clan was established.

During his reign, Nethathe would allegedly turn into a white Lion. He preferred to store his herbs and charms in a cave in the rainforest. Before his death, Nethathe instructed his people to put his remains in the cave where he would store his herbs and charms. He also requested that all the children and future generations should be buried in the rainforest. Nethathe has had seven known successors. Vho-Tshipfene and Vho-Fhimani are two of these successors. Vho-Tshipfene Mukula was a ruler in the Tshitangani region

From the prolific Nethathe kraal, that is Tshitangani, a breed of the Netshitangani still survives. The likes Vho-Naledzani Netshitangani-Bulala, Vho-Ramudzuli Alpheus Netshitangani, Vho-Mmbengeni Wilson, Vho-Thivhafuni Johannes Netshitangani na Vho-Thivhungwi Edward Netshitangani the last born of Muvhango, have all contributed to the existence of Nethathe’s legacy.

Nethathe’s philosophy, as it is known within the clan was; “assist each other where one of your own is unable.”

It is with this same philosophy that Thathe Group was formed. With the primary aim of assisting those in need, we provide website accommodation for those who cannot afford a website but have a cause that needs such facilities. Furthermore, we aid prospective and existing business people connect with other business people for possible collaborations or mere acquisition of resources on offer.
